Colors of Navratri 2022

This year Sharad Navratri starts on 26th Sept 2022 and ends on 4th Oct 2022

Most people from Maharashtra and Gujarat are celebrating this 9 night, especially women who are most active these days. They wear different 9 colors of dresses mostly sarees and fancy jewelry to glamour more on this occasion.

Let us look at the colors of Navratri's days.

Day 1  - Sept 26 (Monday) - White

Day 2 - Sept 27(Tuesday) - Red

Day 3 - Sept 28(Wednesday) - Blue

Day 4 - Sept 29(Thursday) - Yellow

Day 5 - Sept 30(Friday) - Green

Day 6 - Oct 1 (Saturday) - Grey

Day 7 - Oct 2(Sunday) - Orange

Day 8 - Oct 3(Monday) - Peacock Green

Day 9 - Oct 4(Tuesday) - Pink

Let us see the Significance of these colors.

1. White - convey a sense of peacefulness, clarity, and purity. It belong to goddess Kalratri who chases the demons. Keep it white to spread calmness, purity and positivity.

2. Red - It has both sides like love as well as anger, war as well as fervor. Wear a bright red color kurta, saree, or any dress and start the auspicious festivities with passion and happiness for goddess Shailputri.

3. Blue - conveys freedom, imagination, inspiration, and sensitivity. Blue is one of the most common favorite colors. And if it is yours too, wear it on the third day of Navratri to enhance the divine energy of goddess Brahmacharini.

4. Yellow- Symbolize happiness, warmth, and sunshine. The brightness of yellow spread far and wide. Bring joy and cheerfulness to your life by wearing a lovely yellow attire on the third day of Navratri which belongs to goddess Chandraghanta.

5. Green - Symbolize Life and renewal. The color green refers to the different aspects of Mother Nature and its nourishing qualities. It also symbolizes fertility. This is the day of goddess Kushmanda - the ashtabhuja devi.

6. Grey - Symbolizes wisdom and dignity. Goddess is there to protect us and show us light in the right direction and since grey symbolizes the destruction of evil, start your sixth-day festivities by adorning this beautiful color for goddess Skandamata.

7. Orange - Symbolize joy, creativity, and success. Orange symbolizes tranquility, brightness, and knowledge. Keep it bright and happy with orange on the day of goddess Katyayani.

8. Peacock Green - Symbolizes belief to fulfill the desire of devotees. since it is the day of goddess Siddhidatri, it all about inspiration, wisdom and health and hence the color Peacock Green fits perfectly for the day.

9. Pink - Symbolize nurturing and playfulness. This is the day of goddess Mahagauri and the pink color fits so well with this day. It is all about spreading love and kindness and celebrating feminity.

 
While the belief to wear auspicious color on each day is a good idea, do not believe that any other color will not be good to wear on any of these days. It is only our efforts, devotion, and intent that Gods and Goddesses make note of. Different websites suggest a distinct list of colors for these days, we say, you should follow your heart and devotion above all. No such list is perfect.
